REV. F. M. BROWN.

  Rev. F. M. Brown, a well known resident of near Woodbury, Bedford 
county, died suddenly Sunday evening at 8:45 o'clock, after a brief 
illness due to a complication of diseases.  He was a son of George and 
Elizabeth Brown, deceased, and was born at Marion, September 5th, 1855.  
His wife survives with these children: Mrs. Hannar [sic] Stoner and 
Elmer Miller, of Martinsburg; Mrs. Ira Long, of 2325 Beale avenue, this 
city; Mrs. Henry Miller, Akron, O.; Mrs. Harry Woodcock, Waterside, and 
Irvin and Grace Brown, both at home.  These brothers and sisters: 
George D. Brown, Mrs. Sallie Clapper, and Mrs. Katharine Haffley, all 
of Hollidaysburg; Mrs. Ellen Croft, of Roaring Spring, and Jacob D. 
Brown, of Waterside, also survive, with eleven grandchildren.  He was a 
member of the Brethren in Christ church thirty-two years and served as 
a minister for twenty-nine years.  He possessed many friends and was 
widely known and greatly esteemed.  The funeral services will be held 
at the Brethren in Christ church, near Woodbury, tomorrow morning.  
Burial in that cemetery.
