JOHN W. BARKLEY.

  John W. Barkley, a prominent railroad man of Derry, died at his home 
there Tuesday from anemia.  He had been ill for thirteen weeks, and was 
born at Woodbury, Bedford county, November 11, 1864.  He entered the 
employ of the Pennsy at Altoona when of age, and has been working for 
them since.  He went to Derry twenty-five years ago, and is survived by 
his widow and four children.  His mother, Mrs. Belle King, is living, 
residing at Williamsburg, as also a brother, Harry, who makes his home 
with the mother.  Another brother, David, lives here, with a sister, 
Mrs. Jennie J. Blake, residing at Roaring Springs [sic].  Funeral 
services will be held from his home Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock.
