BAREFOOT - Durban H., 90, Imler, died Sept. 14, 1988, at Bedford County 
Memorial Hospital. Born Feb. 24, 1898, in Pavia, son of Henry Metler 
and Anna (Beard) Barefoot. Preceded in death by parents; wife, former 
Mabel Sauter, who died Feb. 3, 1987; son, Donald; and grandsons, Donald 
and Duane; also six sisters and two brothers. Survived by these 
children: Mildred, wife of Dr. Blair Drummond, Rimersburg; Hazel, wife 
of G. Clair Koontz, Bedford R.D. 1; Ivan, married to former Betty 
Smith, Osterburg R.D.; Charles, married to former Ella May Miller, 
Imler; Harold, Osterburg; Dona Faye, wife of Doyle Feather, Bedford; 
and Ronald, married to former Ruby Hengst, Imler; also 16 
grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, six step-grandchildren and 10 
step-great-grandchildren. Brother of Elwood Barefoot, Alum Bank R.D. 1. 
Member of St. Peter Lutheran Church, Osterburg. Lifetime farmer and 
lumberman. Formerly had private trucking business. Former owner and 
operator of Barefoot Garage, Imler, for many years. Friends received 
from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Edward Blackburn Funeral Home, 
Pleasantville, and from 1:30 p.m. until time of service, at 2:30 p.m., 
Sunday at St. James Lutheran Church, Pleasantville, the Rev. Emily 
Styer. Interment, Pleasantville Cemetery.
