Claar Obituary Collection, 1935

EDGAR WARREN BAILEY

Died at his residence in Saxton on Thursday, Feb. 21, about midnight.  Death 
was caused by apoplexy.  He was born in State College on March 4, 1881, a son 
of Thomas Scott Bailey and Elizabeth Glenn Bailey, deceased.  He was married 
on Sept. 21, 1905, to Charlotte Emmet Mattern, who survives with the following 
children:  Edgar Bailey of Lewistown, Robert, George and Elizabeth of Saxton; 
one brother, R. F. Bailey of Altoona, and two sisters. Mrs. Susan Miller and 
Mrs. Mary Shultz of Titusville.  Mr. Bailey was employed by the Penn Central 
Light and Power company at Saxton as master mechanic.  He was a member of a 
Johnstown Masonic lodge which will conduct a Masonic burial service at the 
grave.  He was a member of the Lutheran church.  Funeral services will be 
conducted at his residence in Saxton on Monday afternoon at 1.30 o'clock, Rev. 
Norman Wagner officiating.  Interment will be made in the Seven Stars cemetery 
at Seven Stars.
