MRS. FRANCIS M. AMOS

Special to the Tribune.
  Bedford, November 14. - Mrs. Sallie Amos, widow of Francis M. Amos, 
former register and recorder of this county, died suddenly at her home 
on North Richard street about 8 o'clock this morning.  Deceased had not 
been in good health for some time but her condition was not considered 
alarming and she was attending to her household duties, as usual, when 
the summons came.  Mrs. Amos, who was Miss Sallie Boor, was aged about 
68 years and was born in this section.  Her husband passed away about 
two years ago after a long illness.  Surviving are two sons, John, of 
Charlotte, N.Y., and Frank of Philadelphia; one daughter, Mrs. Virginia 
Casteel, of this place, and two sisters: Mrs. Ella Lysinger, near 
Bedford, and Mrs. Emma Stiffler, of Elkins, W.Va.  The funeral services 
will likely be held on Thursday, Rev. G. W. Faus, of the Methodist 
church, her pastor, officiating.  Interment in the Bedford cemetery.
