       Iva Biss

 Iva Anna Seidner Hiss, 81, Hills-
dale, died Friday, Nov. 28, 1997, at
her home.
 The daughter of Merl and Teressa
Burkey Seidner, she was born
Wednesday, June 7, 1916, in Edin-
burg.
Mrs. Biss married William Alex-
ander Biss Jan. 3, 1944, and was
widowed July 8, 1983. She was a
former member of Indiana 299 Or-
der of the Eastern Star.
 Surviving are two daughters, Mrs.
Edward (Gayle) Freno, Hillsdale,
and Mrs. Pauline Wingard, Gahan-
na, Ohio; these sisters and brothers:
Ruth McMillen, Poland, Ohio; Mrs.
Glenn (Julia) Leipply, New Spring-
field, Ohio; Everett Seidner, Peters-
burg, Ohio; Charles Seidner and
wife, Evelyn, North Lima, Ohio; and
Doris Redman, Georgia; six grand-
children, seven great-grandchildren
and two great-great-grandchiIdren.
 In addition to her husband, she
was preceded in death by her par-
ents and brothers, Arthur, Harry
"Buddy" and Roy Seidner.
 Friends will be received from 7-9
p.m. today and 6-9 p.m. Sunday at
the Albert E. Ralrigh Funeral
Home, Hillsdale, where a funeral
service will be held at 11 a.m.
Monday, Dec. 1, with the Rev.
Edwin E. Nichol officiating. Inter-
ment will be in Rowley Cemetery,
Hillsdale.
