     Daniel Bevil

 Daniel P. Bevil, 79, Conemaugh
Township (Saltsburg RD 1), died
Monday, Dec. 8, 1997, at his home.
 Born in Mt. Pleasant on Feb. 24,
1918, he was the son of Daniel P. and
Margaret H. Fitzsimmons Bevil.
 He had lived in Conemaugh Town-
ship for the past 27 years and prior to
that had resided in Trafford. He had
been employed for 45 years as a
coremaker at the Westinghouse Air
Brake plant in Wilmerding, retiring
in 1980.
 Mr. Bevil was a member of the
Church of the Good Shepherd in
Kent. He had served in Alaska in the
U.S. Army during World War II.
 He is survived by his wife of 58
years, Lois J. Six Bevil; one son,
Daniel P. Bevil, Chambersburg;
three daughters, Mrs. John (Janet)
Quinn, Central City, Pa.; Mrs. Larry
(Rebecca) Bender, Saltsburg; and
Mrs. Donald (Elizabeth) Crysta-
lowski, Lower Burrell; one brother,
William Bevil, McKeesport; five
sisters, Alice Spechock, Detroit;
Mariah Stead, Ohio; Eleanor Bevil,
Wilmerding; Rita Smail, McKees-
port; Rose Bevil, Wilmerding; 14
grandchildren, seven great-grand-
children and one great-great grand-
child.
 He was preceded in death by his
parents; three sisters, Margaret
Painter, Mary Riccelli and Eliza-
beth Roccanso.
 Friends will be received from 7-9
p.m. Wednesday at Curran Funeral
Home in Saltsburg. A funeral mass
will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thurs-
day at the Church of the Good
Shepherd in Kent. The Rev. Larry
Kulik will officiate. Interment will
be in the Iselin Union Cemetery in
Iselin.
 Memorial contributions may be
made to the Church of the Good
Shepherd Building Fund, Kent, Pa.
