ANNIE E. CLAWSON BENCE, 97, Marion Center, died Wednesday, March 7, 1973, in

the Mt. View Christian Home at Hillsdale.



Born Jan. 11, 1876, in Dixonville, she was the daughter of Andrew and Jane

Bolvin Clawson.



Mrs. Bence was a member of the Marion Center Presbyterian Church.



Surviving are a son, John A., Marion Center; a daughter, Miss Arlene Bence,

Arlington, VA; a grandson; four brothers: B.J. Clawson, both of Stockton,

Calif.; Irvin Clawson, Wabasha, Minn.; N.E. Clawson, Chicago; and a sister,

Mrs. Ellen Oakes, Indiana.



She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry E. Bence, in 1956.



Friends will be received at the Bence Funeral Home in Clymer from 7-9 pm

tonight and from 2-4 and 7-9 pm Friday where services will be held at 2 pm

Saturday. The Rev. Willis Kearns will officiate and interment will be made

in Bethel Cemetery near Dixonville.
