Benjamin B. Beatty, a retired railroader, whose wife, Mrs. Mary Forsha
Beatty,
died six weeks ago, passed away in his home, 529 North Spring Street, Blairsville,
at 6:15
PM Monday. A son of Albert and Sarah Ferguson Beatty, he was born in Blairsville
August 26, 1872 and had always lived in the community.

He was a brakeman on the Pennsylvania Railroad for many years, retiring
January
6, 1938. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church, and a former member
of the
Brotherhood of Railway Trainmen.

Surviving are a daughter, Miss Grace Beatty at home, a son, Shallus R.
Beatty,
and a step son James D. Forsha, both of Cleveland; three sisters, Miss
Tillie Beatty and
Mrs. Dora Cummings, both of Pittsburgh, and Mrs Maude Beck, of Buffalo,
and seven
grand children.

Services have been arranged for the family home at 2:00 PM Thursday. The
Rev.
J.C. Stuart will officiate, and interment will be in Bairsville Csemetery
