                             Granville Garnett
 
          GRANVILLE GARNETT, a member of one of the oldest families
          in Lima, died Tuesday at his home, Barren road, Lima.
 
          Mr. Garnett, who was 53, was the son of the late Henry and
          Josephine Garnett. The family had lived in Lima for 80 years.
 
          He died suddenly having been at work that day. He was employed
          by the Sinclair Refining Company. A native of Lima, Mr. Garnett had
          always lived there. He was a veteran of World War One and a
          member of Lima UAME Church.
 
          He is survived by four brothers and three sisters, Benjamin Garnett,
          Media; Henry Garnett, Philadelphia; John Garnett, Media; Lawrence
          Garnett, Philadelphia; Mrs. Doronda (Deronda) Lomax, New York;
          Mrs. Christine Kilson, Lima; Mrs. Mary Chism, Chester.
 
          Funeral services will be held at 1 p. m. Friday, in the Lima UAME
          Church, with interment in LIMA Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday
          evening at the Batipps Funeral Home, Media.
