FETTERS, Cpl. Herbert R.; 1945
 
 
      FETTERS, Cpl. HERBERT R.
      was killed in action in Germany (World War II); on March 8, 1945,
      while fighting under General PATTON, as a member of the 
      10th Armored Division. He had been inducted into the service
      November 26th, 1943; and received his basic training at Fort Knox,
      Kentucky; prior to entering the ARMY was an employee of the
      Auto Car Co., Ardmore, Pa.; born in Springfield township
      March 20, 1911; attended Media High School; survived by his
      parents, Mr. and Mrs. HERBERT R. FETTERS; a brother, 
      GEORGE FETTERS; two sisters, Mrs. CHARLES V. AUSTIN
      and Mrs. CURTIS E. McMULLIN, of Media. Internment in
      Springfield Friends Burying Grounds, 4-30-1949.
