                 MRS. ALICE B. DICKESON - Noted Violinist

            Mrs. ALICE B. DICKESON, noted violinist, died this morning
        in the Smith Nursing Home, Media, where she was confined
        for the last four years.
            Born at Lenni, the daughter of the late PHILIP M. and
        HARRIETT J. BAKER, she studied violin in Philadelphia and
        aboard. Mrs. DICKESON gave command recitals before
        QUEEN WILHELMINA, of Holland, and KING GUSTAV, of
        Sweden. In recent years she taught the violin at her home
        on S. Orange st., Media.
            She was a former member of the Fayette Opera Co. of
        Boston, and at the turn of the century played in the Bellevue-
        Stratford Hotel orchestra in Philadelphia. She also was a
        member of the Swarthmore Symphony Orchestra.
            Her husband, who died more than 20 years ago, was
        Dr. MORTON P. DICKESON. Private funeral arrangements
        being made by the Rigby Funeral Home, Media.
