                   MRS. B. B. BATIPPS DIES SUDDENLY

        Funeral services will be held for Mrs. BESSIE BLAIR BATIPPS,
    wife of THOMAS F. BATIPPS, a well-known funeral director, at
    the Campbell A. M. E. Church, Third and Olive streets, Sunday
    afternoon 1 o'clock. Interment will be in Union Hill cemetery,
    Kennett Square.
        Mrs. BATIPPS, died suddenly yesterday. She had not been
    well for several months, but the past few days was better and
    appeared to be regaining her strength.
        She was born at Sandy Springs, Md., a daughter of the late
    ROBERT and JOSEPHINE BLAIR. She had been a resident of
    South Media for a number of years and was an active member
    of Trinity Union A. M. E. Church of Media.
        Her survivors are her husband, one daughter, Mrs. LILLIE M.
    WILSON, a son, CUTHBERT BATIPPS and eight grandchildren.
