                             GEORGE S. BAKER

           GEORGE S. BAKER, 62, died last night at his home on West Third 
    street, Media, following a lingering illness of about a year. He was the son 
    of the late DANIEL and TAMAR BAKER, and was born at SYCAMORE
    MILLS, near Media. His survivors are his widow, VIRGINIA; one daughter,
    Mrs. Elridge Pedler; one granddaughter and one brother, JOHN BAKER,
    of Media.
         For the past thirteen years, Mr. BAKER had been employed as 
    supervisor of highways in the borough. He worshipped at the First
    Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at
    2 o'clock, at his late residence. Interment will be in the Media Cemetery.

                    GEORGE S. BAKER BURIED YESTERDAY

            The funeral of GEORGE S. BAKER aged 62 years, who died
        Thursday, was held yesterday afternoon from his late residence,
        9 West Third street, Media.
            Rev. George Wortley, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Media, 
        was in charge, and was assisted by Rev. Robert A. McIlwain, of
        Lima, a former pastor of the First M. E. Church. There were many
        relatives and friends in attendance. The floral offerings were many
        and beautiful. Interment was at the Media Cemetery.
            The pallbearers were: HOWARD BAKER, SAMUEL KEMP,
        LEROY HANNUM, WILLIAM HANNUM, EMRO BROOMALL
        and HARRY BROOMALL.
