Alonzo (Lonnie)Vankirk, 68, of 624 Ewing Street, died at 2:05 pm Saturday, June 
2, 1951 in Washington Hoospital, where he had been a patient the last three 
weeks.

Mr Vankirk was employed at the Annealing Box company.  He was a member of the 
West Washington Methodist Church.

He was born in Washington April 8, 1883, a son of John W. and Mattie Plymire 
Vankirk.

On May 16, 1907, he married Garnet Greer, who survives with the following 
daughters:  Opal, wife of George Russel; Mattie, wife of Joseph Wheeler; Emily, 
wife of Wayne Duke; Gertrude, wife of Martin Stoner; Lydia, wife of Clifford 
Harton, and Leah, wife of John Jones all of Washington.

He also leaves nine grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs Gertrude Fischer, of 
Washington; Mrs Katherine Church of California State and Mrs Elizabeth Claffey 
of North Carolina and one brother, Frank Vankirk of columbus, Ohio
