Washington Observer , July 2, 1959

Mrs. Sarah Ellen Innis, 246 Springfield Avenue, died suddenly in a car at the 
corner of Grant nd Fifth Avenue, Pittsburgh, Thursay June 30, 1959, about 9:15 
o'clock. She was returning from a visit with her daughter, Louise, wife of 
Owen Tedrow of Wallaston, Mass.

She was born in Belle Vernon, Feb 8, 1894, a daughter of Thomas and Rebecca 
Mossburg Boyce. She was a member of the Second Christian Church, but for many 
years attended the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church of Washington.
For many years she was a matron at the Childrens Home and served in that 
capacity after the home became the home for aged women a few years ago.
She was married to John Innis, February 8, 1910. Mr. Innis is deceased.

She is survived by one son, William Innis of Detroit; three daughters, Ellen, 
wife of Regis W. Brice with the Air Force in France; Louise, wife of Owen 
Tedrow, Rebecca Jane, wife of James Fox of Libertyville, Ill; and three 
sisters: Mrs. Galeen Johnston, Belle Vernon; Mrs. Sylvia Phillips and Mrs. 
Emma Smock, Washington.

Nine grandchildren and one great grandchild also survive. A brother, Melvin 
Boyce preceded her in death.
