Presbyterian banner. (Pittsburgh, Pa.) 1860-1898: April 1, 1863
Died July 9th, 1862, at his residence in Finleyville, Washington County, Pa., Henry
Bennett, aged 36 years. Brother Bennett, whose father died when he was quite young,
enjoyed the pious admonitions of his mother, who was a member of the M. E. Church,
as well as the watchful care of the religious families in which it was his good
fortune to live. When comparatively young, he united with the M. E. Church, in which
he remained until after his marriage to Miss Rachel Sheets, in August 1849, soon
after which he joined the Mingo congregation of the Presbyterian Church, of which he
continued a faithful member until his death, which was peaceful and happy.
