DALE BEATTY, formerly of Bell
Dale Beatty, 86, of 103 Faith Manor, Avonmore, formerly of 
Bell, died Wednesday (Jan. 2, 1991) in Latrobe Area 
Hospital. Born March 5, 1904, in Dayton, he lived in Bell 
most of his life before moving to Avonmore two years ago. 
Mr. Beatty worked in the maintenance department at National 
Roll Industries in Avonmore before retiring in 1969. He 
served on the former Bell- Avon School Board. Mr. Beatty 
was a member of Salina Church in Bell and a 50- year member 
and past master of Bell Township Grange. Survivors include 
his wife of 15 years, Thelma Gray Silvis Beatty; two sons, 
the Rev. Raymond Beatty, of Friendsville, Md., and the Rev. 
Glenn Beatty of Latrobe; a daughter, Mrs. Adam (Iva) Mayer 
of West Leechburg; five grandchildren; three 
great-grandchildren; and three brothers, Oscar Beatty of 
Vandergrift, Dwight Beatty of Gibsonia, and the Rev. Clair 
Beatty of Miamisburg, Ohio. He was preceded in death by 
his first wife, Ruth O. Wolford Beatty, in 1974; his 
parents, Stuart "Mac" and Estella Wilson Beatty; a brother, 
Roscoe Beatty; and two sisters, Irene Houser and Pearl 
Beatty. Friends may call today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. 
in the Curran Funeral Home, Inc., 322 N. Second St., Apollo, 
where services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. Officiating 
will be his pastor, the Rev. John Collins. Burial will be 
in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont.
