UNCLE DIES SUDDENLY.
Tipton Friends Hear of Death of Rev. Dr. Jacob Ash, Greensburg
Minister.

Mr. and Mrs. Howard Moffett, of Tipton, the former track
superintendent for the Pennsy in that district, yesterday
morning received word from Greensburg announcing the death
of an uncle of the former, Rev. Dr. Jacob Ash, a Lutheran
minister, at Greensburg, and a one time resident of
Leechburg. Rev. Dr. Ash, said to be one of the most able
speakers of his denomination, had visited frequently in this
city, and on a number of occasions had addressed gatherings
in different churches. He was an uncle of Pennsy Ticket
Examiner Moffett, and was well advanced in years. The
Tipton relatives leave today for Greensburg.
