PAUL KEITH ANDERSON

The family and friends of Paul Keith ANDERSON were unexpectedly shocked at his
sudden death Friday evening, June 30 (1961) at his home 122 1/2 N. Main Street,
Yeagertown, Pa. He had been quite seriously injured in a fall two weeks
previously, but was recovering so well that he returned to his home from the
hospital a few hours before he suddenly passed away.

He was born June 2, 1926 in Brockway, (Jefferson County), the son of Ivan and
Olive (CALHOUN) ANDERSON. Besides his parents, he leaves his wife, the former
Evelyn RENWICK, and three children, Dee, Gary and Pamela, at home, and a
brother, Dean of Brockway.

He was a former resident of this place (Brockway) having attended school here
during his childhood and graduated in the class of 1944, Brockway High School.

Paul had been associated with the Womeldorf Trucking Lines for a number of
years, and a member of the council, a veteran of World War II and a member of
Elk Lodge, 379 F&AM, Ridgway (Elk County).

Services were held on Monday, July 3 at 2 p.m. in the Yeagertown Lutheran Church
of which he was a member and an outstanding leader of the young peoples
organization. Pastor David P. Kyler officiated and interment followed in the
church cemetery. This poem is a tribute to his life:

The Shadow Land

He slipped away so quietly into the shadowed land
And we are left to sit and wonder why
That in the midst of things that seem
To need him oh so much
Our loved one as called up on to die.
To lay aside the work which he's been doing in the world
To leave it to be done by other hands
Which know so little of the plans, which are so little skilled,
While he goes on to distant unknown lands.
And so amid it all, these things we cannot know
Which seems contrary to a Father's love;
Lose not your faith, remember they will all be understood
When we shall reach our blessed home above.
Paul's life is a beautiful memory
His death is a silent grief.
He sleeps in God's beautiful garden
In the sunshine of perfect peace.
