These obituaries came from an unknown paper. They were cut out and put into a
scrapbook by its original owner.  They were later photocopied and given to me in 2002.
It is a transcription of these photocopied originals with no corrections to its
spelling or punctuation.


MARY ELIZABETH DEARTH

   Miss Mary Elizabeth Dearth, aged 75 years, one month and 14 days, died at 11:20
o'clock Christmas morning in the Uniontown Hospital.  Death resulted from severe
burns Miss Dearth received December 6, when her clothing caught fire from an open
grate fire in the residence of her niece, Mrs. Nora D. Johnson, of New Salem, with
whom she made her home.  She is also survived by another niece, Mrs. Ella Lease,
of Menallen township, and a nephew, Dr. C. B. Johnson, of Allison.
   Funeral arrangements will be announced later.

DEARTH SERVICES

   Funeral services for Miss Mary E. Dearth will be conducted this afternoon at 3
o'clock in the home of a niece, Mrs. Nora D. Johnson, of New Salem.  Burial will
be in the Presbyterian cemetery at New Salem.
   The body may be viewed at the funeral establishment of C. B. Dearth until 10
o'clock this morning when it will be removed to the Johnson residence.
   Friends are requested to please omit flowers.
