This obituary come from an unknown paper. It was cut out and put into a photo album by
its original owner, who gave them to me in 1997. It is a copy of the original with no
corrections to its spelling or punctuation. I have changed the format to fit it onto 1 page.

Woman, 101,
Is Summoned
In Her Home
   One of this area's oldest residents, Mrs. Margaret Beal Dearth, 101, died yesterday
morning in the family home at McClellandtown R.D. 1.
     Born during the Civil War in Menallen Twp., she would have been 102 if she had 
lived to Nov. 8.
    A daughter of the late Samuel and Mary Jane Gosnell Beal, she was the widow of the
late Jonah M. Dearth who died in 1915. She spent her entire life in Menallen and
German Twps., and was a life member and the oldest member of New Salem
Presbyterian Church.
    Surviving are four children: Mrs. Fred (Cora) Van Kirk and Sam M. and Almina
Dearth, at home, and Mrs. Ada Roderick, Uniontown. Eight grandchildren, 14
greatgrandchildren and one great great grandchild also survive, A son, Randolph, died
in 1950, and a daughter, Mildred, in infancy.
    Friends will be received in the residence after 3 p.m. today until Sunday at 3 p.m., the
hour of services. Dr. William R. Johnston and Rev. H. L. Davis will officiate. Burial will
be in Salem View Cemetery under the direction of the Dearth Funeral Home, New
Salem.
