This obituary came from an unknown paper. It was cut out and put into a
scrapbook by its original owner.  It was later photocopied and given to me in 2002.
It is a transcription of this photocopied original with no corrections to its
spelling or punctuation.


G. W. DEARTH

   G. W. Dearth, aged 70 years 7 months and 29 days, died at his home near East
Riverside, Monday night, August 19, 1929, at 9:45 o'clock.  He is survived by
his widow, Mrs. Nan Johnson Dearth, and a brother, John Dearth of Illinois.  Mr.
Dearth was born on December 21, 1858.
   A daughter, Mrs. Bessie Dearth Clayton, preceded him in death several years
ago.
   A brief service will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock in his late home
followed by service in the Church Hill church near McClellandtown.  Rev. R. C.
VanEmman, pastor of the Hopewell Presbyterian church, officiating assisted by
Rev. Hunter of the Palmer Presbyterian church.  Interment will be made in Church
Hill cemetery.
