This obituary come from an unknown paper. It was cut out and put into a photo album by
its original owner, who gave them to me in 1997. It is a copy of the original with no
corrections to its spelling or punctuation. I have changed the format to fit it onto 1 page.

DEAL, STEWART H.  Age  53 years, of Route 40 West, Haddenville, died suddenly
Wednesday evening, March 27, 1954. He was born in Menallen Twp. where he spent his
entire life and was the son of Hersy and Merle Carpenter Deal. He was a member of the
Third Presbyterian Church, Uniontown and served as a former elder and deacon, also a
member of the Adams Class. He was an agent for Ashland Oil Products; a member of
Fayette Lodge 228, F&AM, Uniontown Lodge of Perfection, The Tall Cedars of 
Lebanon 152, and Menallen Grange 1091. He is survived by his wife, Thelma Moore
Deal; one daughter, Mrs. Gary (Shirley) German and one son, Larry, both of York, Pa.;
two sisters and one brother, Mrs. Mervin (Lois) Shoaf of Uniontown; Mrs. Darrell
(Norma) Uphold of Haddenville; Roy F. of Atlanta, Ga.; one grandchild. Funeral
arrangements under the direction of the Dearth Funeral Home, New Salem, will be 
announced later. He was a World War II Veteran and a member of V.F.W. Post 47,
Uniontown.
