Uniontown Daily News Standard, Tues. November 2, 1897:
"Enoch David died Saturday afternoon at 4 o'clock, Oct. 30, 1897, of
paralysis at his home at Wymps Gap, aged 72 years.  He leaves a wife
and eight sons."

Uniontown Daily News Standard, Thurs. November 11, 1897:
"Enoch A. David, Died on Saturday afternoon, October 30, 1897, at his
home in West Virginia, after an illness of 32 days, with paralysis,
Enoch A.David, in the 73rd year of his age.  Deceased was the son of
Ebenezer David, deceased, and a member of the Baptist church.  He
bore his afflictions with christian fortitude, knowing in whom he put
his trust.  Although he had the best medical aid and the kind nursing of
an affectionate wife, aided by his sons, yet the disease yielded not, and
he quietly and peacefully breathed his last on the 30th of October at 4
p.m.  Deceased leaves a wife and 10 sons to mourn his death.  The
funeral services were held at the Woodbridgetown church the
following Monday at 12:30 o'clock, conducted by Rev. J.C. Burnworth
of Smithfield, Pa.  The remains were interred at the graveyard of
Woodbridgetown among his friends."
