This obituary come from an unknown paper. It was cut out and put into a photo album by
its original owner, who gave them to me in 1997. It is a copy of the original with no
corrections to its spelling or punctuation. I have changed the format to fit it onto 1 page.

DARROCH, SAMUEL (IKE)  - Age 68, 426 Union St.,Brownsville, Pa., died Thursday,
July 10, 1975 at 3: 10 p.m. in the Brownsville General Hospital. Born June 30, 1907 in
Newell, Pa. He was the son of the late Henry and Mary Jobes Darroch. He was a retired
railroader for the Pittsburgh and Lake Erie Railroad. He was predeceased by his first
wife, Olive McCune Darroch. Surviving is his wife, Merle Ridge Darroch; two stepsons,
Thomas Ridge of Beallsville, Pa., and Jack Ridge, Washington, Pa.; a stepdaughter,
Mrs. Judy Cook Washington, Pa. and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be
received in the Homer L. Crawford Funeral Home, 126 Front St., Brownsville, today 7 to
9 p.m. and Sunday 12 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday until 2 p.m., the hour of service.
Interment will be held at the convenience of the Family. In lieu of flowers, memorial
contributions may be made to the Brownsville General Hospital Building Fund.
