Obituary of Elizabeth Cozard

Elizabeth Cozard

Masontown, November 22   Miss Elizabeth Cozard died at the home of
her brother, Alex Cozard, at Masontown, Friday evening, November
17, 1911, of cancer.  Miss Cozard was born October 12, 1842.  She was
a member of the Baptist church and lived a Christian.  During her
late illness in which she suffered very much, she showed rare patience
and was very grateful to those who cared for her.  She leaves one
brother and one sister, Alex Cozard, of Masontown, and Mrs. Maggie
Williams, of Fort Dodge, Iowa, besides a number of nephews and
nieces.  Those who attended the funeral from a distance were Frank
Robinson, John Robinson, Sarah Hackney and Amy Robinson of
Uniontown, and Daniel Robinson, of Monessen.  After services at her
late home by Rev. Geo. Baer, interment took place from the Sugar
Grove Baptist church in Greene county, Sunday afternoon, where she
had been a member for 50 years.  Rev. Mr. Stonaker, of
Girard's Fort, assisted by Rev. Mr. Baer, conducted the services at the
church.  The remains were laid to rest in Hannah cemetery by
Undertaker H.A. Johnson.  The funeral was largely attended.
