This obituary come from an unknown paper. It was cut out and put into a photo album by
its original owner, who gave them to me in 1997. It is a copy of the original with no
corrections to its spelling or punctuation. I have changed the format to fit it onto 1 page.


Harriet Collier FuneralToday

Funeral services for Mrs. Harriet M. Collier, aged 91, one of the oldest and best
known residents of the city who died Saturday, October 2, 1937, at the
home of a daughter, Mrs. Ida Collier Tucker, 15 West Church street, will be
held at the home at 2:30 this afternoon. Rev. William Blake Hindman, pastor of
the First Presbyterian church will be in charge. Burial will be in Oak Grove cemetery.
    Pallbearers will be Edwin Collier, Dr. O. M. Howard D. Collier, H. B. Goodwin,
Ira Coffman and Robert J. Arnett.
   Mrs. Collier had been a resident of Uniontown for the past 46 years. She was born
July 39, 1846, in German township, a daughter of William H. and Elizabeth Willard
Coffman. She was the widow of  Thomas Swan Collier. Surviving are three sons, D. W.
Collier, of  Uniontown; Otto R. Collier, Mullens, and Kenneth E. Collier, Tampa, Fla.;
one daughter, Mrs. Ida Collier Tucker; a brother, William H. Coffman, Jr,, and one
sister, Mary Elizabeth Coffman. Two grandchildren also survive.
   Mrs. Collier was a member of the First Presbyterian church and was affiliated with
the Ladies' Association, the Auxiliary Society and the Ladies' Missionary Society.
