This obituary come from an unknown paper. It was cut out and put into a photo album by
its original owner, who gave them to me in 1997. It is a copy of the original with no
corrections to its spelling or punctuation. I have changed the format to fit it onto 1 page.


COLDREN, ELLA DEFFENBAUGH, aged 73 years, 6 mo., 18 days, lifelong
resident of German Township, her home being on the Masontown High House Road
near Leckrone, died in the Uniontown Hospital Monday morning, July 5, 1943,
following a brief illness. Her husband, William Coldren, preceded her in death by twenty
years. She is survived by two daughters. Mrs. Edwin C. Stilwell of  Masontown,
R. D., Mrs. O. R. Younkin at home, four sisters, Mrs. Louise Mack, Mrs. George
Renshaw, both of  Uniontown, Mrs. Elizabeth Lincoln of  Masontown, R. D.,
Mrs. Jennie Ross of  High House, one brother, William H. Deffenbaugh of
Ravena, Ohio; three grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday
afternoon with brief services at the home at 2 o'clock followed by regular
services in Jacobs Lutheran church with Rev. Freeman Ankrurn ofasontown officiating.
Burial in the church cemetery under the direction of the Honsaker Funeral
Home, Masontown.
