Mrs. Louisa C. Bishop, wife of Samuel S. Bishop, of No. 221 Carnegie avenue, died at
2:10 this morning 
at the family residence following a lingering illness from cancer.  The funeral will
be held Sunday 
afternoon at 2 o'clock from her are home and at 2:30 o'clock from the Christian
church.  Rev. J. P. 
Allison, the pastor will officiate, interment being made in Hill Grove Cemetery.
  Deceased was a daughter of John and Isabella Prentice Crossland of Uniontown and
was born in 
Uniontown February 9, 1848.  She was 62 years, 11 months and 9 days old.  Mrs.
Bishop was one of the 
most widely known residents of Connellsville, having lived here for the past 38
years.  During her illness 
she was given the best of medical attention but to no avail.  She was taken to
Pittsburg and removed to 
the Mercy hospital for treatment.  After remaining there for several weeks she
returned to her home 
here.  Her death was not unexpected by the members of her family.  She was a member
of the Christian 
church.
  In addition to her husband she is survived by three children, Mrs. Minnie Means of
Uniontwon, J. C. and 
W. C. Bishop of Connellsville; and two brothers, John Crossland of Lemont, and
Albert Crossland of 
Uniontown.
