This obituary came from an unknown paper. It was cut out and 
put into a scrapbook by its original owner.  It was later 
photocopied and given to me in 2002.
It is a transcription of this photocopied original with no 
corrections to its spelling or punctuation.

HELEN EMILY BENKE

    Miss Helen Emily Benke, 26, of Leisenring No. 3, died at 
6:30 a.m. Saturday, December 20, 1930, in the sanitorium at 
Cresson where she had been a patient for about 15 months.
    She was a graduate of the Dunbar Township High School with 
the class of 1923 after which she taught for four years in the 
German township school at Palmer and in a Dunbar township school.
   In addition to her father, Fred Benke, she is survived by the 
following brothers and sisters:  Herbert, Harry, and Fred, at home 
and Mrs. Charles Seighman, of Footdale.
    Funeral services will be at the late home Tuesday at 1 p.m., 
followed by additional services at 1:30 o'clock in the German 
Lutheran church, Connellsville, in charge of
Rev. George Deitz.  
Burial will be in Hill Grove cemetery, Connellsville.
