This obituary came from an unknown paper. It was cut out 
and put into a scrapbook by its original owner.  It was later 
photocopied and given to me in 2002.
It is a transcription of this photocopied original with no 
corrections to its spelling or punctuation.

ELIZABETH H. BEAL

    Mrs. Elizabeth H. Beal, died at her home in New Salem, 
Sunday morning February 26, 1928, after a lingering illness 
of two and one-half years.  Elizabeth Wilson Hibbs, daughter 
of John and Jane Finley Hibbs, was born September 28, 1828, 
in Redstone township on the farm where Herbert Works is now 
located.  She was the last of a family of eight children.
    In 1865 she was married to Benjamin F. Beal, of Menallen 
township and moved to a farm near Searights.
    In 1893 Mr. Beal died, and two years later his widow moved 
to German township.
    The Hibbs and Finley families were pioneers in the New Salem 
community.  One daughter, Mrs Iden Vail and three grandchildren 
survive.  A daughter died in 1901.
    The funeral will be held Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. with brief 
services at the home followed by additional services at the church 
in charge of the Rev. Harry W. Kilgore, pastor of the New Salem 
Presbyterian church of which Mrs. Beal had been a member for 
more than fifty years.
