GEORGE E. ADAMS.  George E. Adams, 65 years old, of Breakneck, died at
his home early Saturday morning.  He had been ill for the past year.  
He was born September 9, 1887, near Moyer, the son of the late John and
Polly Burkett Adams.  He lived all his life in the Breakneck community.
Mr. Adams was a coal miner by occupation.  Surviving are three sons,
Sergeant Woodrow Adams in Korea and Peter and Wilbert at home, one
daughter, Mrs. Cathleen Hodge of Connellsville; four grandchildren; one
brother, Samuel Adams of Smithfield; four sisters, Mrs. Nora Grimm and
Mrs. Martin Paes of Uniontown, Mrs. Elias Hillen of Breakneck road and
Mrs. Homer Sanner of Connellsville, R.D.  His wife died in January
1926.  A prayer service will be held at the home of his brother-in-law
and sister, Mr. And Mrs. Hillen, at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon with
additional rites at 2:30 o'clock at the Breakneck Church of God.  Rev.
Morris Now will officiate.  Burial will take place in Mount Olive
Cemetery.  (note in ink Died April 18, 1953)
