OBITUARY
 
Mrs. Emily M. Barton was born near Springfield, Illinois, July 22, 1861, and 
passed away May 18, 1933, at her home at Fruitland, Idaho, being 71 years, 9 
months and 26 days of age.
 
When a child she moved with her parents to Des Moines, Iowa and lived there 
until 1928.  It was here she met and married Geo. P. Barton, July 3, 1881.  In 
1928 they came to Fruitland, Idaho which has been their home until her passing 
from among us.
 
Over 40 years ago she became a member of the Church of Christ and continued 
faithful to her Christian convictions.  She and her husband did outstanding 
work in the University Christian Church at Des Moines, Iowa and at De Sato, 
Iowa.  At the latter church theirs was the chief support.  They were known for 
their abundant service to the sick and to those in need.  
 
She leaves to mourn her passing, her husband, two daughters, Mrs. Lottie 
McAndrew of Chicago and Mrs. Della Beck of Old Mexico, two sons, Charley and 
Harry both of Denver, Colorado, also three brothers, Henry, Albert, and Fred 
Juber and two sisters, Mrs. I. W. Miller and Mrs. Sarah Matino all of Des 
Moines, Iowa, and a host of friends.
 
Funeral services were held from the Baptist Church at Fruitland, Monday 
afternoon, May 22, Rev. J. Raymond officiating.  Interment was made at the New 
Plymouth cemetery.
