The Carnesville Herald August 27, 1942
By Hubert Dyar, Jr.
A suspect Jene Paul Norris, now being held in Sulphur, Okla. was positively
identified last week by Branson James and Mrs. James as one of the robbers who
held up the Commercial Exchange Bank last Aug. 18, and kidnapped Mr. James,
holding him for several hours.

The F.B.I. made the arrest of Norris, two days after the arrest, in Chicago, of
Taylor Marshall Wichard, the other half of the team that forced their way into the
James home and demanded Mr. James to accompany them.

A warrant has been sent for both men to be brought back to Franklin County for
trial.
