Huntington County, Pennsylvania
Will Book 2; pg 295-296

Last Will of Susanna Sook [Zook]

In the name of God, Amen, I, Susanna Sook of Alleghan Township
Huntington County, Pennsylvania, being weak in body, but of sound mind,
memory and understanding (blessed be God for the same), but considering
the uncertainty of this transitory life, do make and publish this my
last
will and testament, in manner and form following, viz:
Principally and first of all, I commend my immortal soul into the hands
of God who gave it, and my body to the earth, to be buried in a decent
and Christian like manner at the discretion of my Executor herein after
named. And as to such worldly estate, wherewith it has pleased God to
bless me in this life, I give and dispose of the same in the following
manner: to wit: I give and devise my clock to my son David Albaugh
during his life and then to his son David Albaugh. And whereas I lent to
my son Steven Albaugh twenty nine pounds for which I have his
obligation my Will is that on his paying the principal he shall be
exonerated the interest. And as it is possible that I may be confined
and unable to help myself for some time before my death: my will is that
whichsoever of my children or other person shall attend or nurse me they
shall be entitled to receive the sum of twenty dollars to be paid out of
my estate. I devise and give to my daughter Hannah Stoner the sum of
sixteen dollars; and further my will is that my wearing apparel and
books shall not be put to sale but equally divided between my daughters.
My will is that all the residue of my estate of whatever kind shall be
equally divided between my four daughters Susan, Betsey, Cathrine and
Hannah, and lastly I nominate, constitute and appoint my trusty friend
Philip Christy of the township and county aforsd to be the sole Executor
of this my last will, hereby revoking all other wills, legacies and
bequests by me heretofore maid and declaring this and no other to be my
last will and testament. In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my Hand
and Seal this twenty seventh day of March in the year of our Lord one
thousand eight hundred & sixteen
