 In the name of God amen

 I Michael Traxler of Dublin Township in Huntingdon County and State of Pennsylvania
 being weak in Body but of Sound mind memory and Judgment blesed be god for
the Same but considering the uncertainty of this transitory
life do make and Publish this my Last will and Testament
in manner and form following to wit; Principally and
first of all I commend my Soul into the hands of
god who gave it and my body to the earth to be
buried in a decent and Christian like manner at the
discretion of my Executors hereinafter named, and as
to Such worldy Estate wherewith it hath pleased God
to bles me in this life - I give and dispose of the
Same in the following manner to wit - First it is
my will and I do order that my Just debts and Funeral
expenses by duly paid and Satisfied as Soon as conveniently can
be done after my death -- Item I give and bequeath to my
dear wife Nelly Traxler the house we now live in, Ten Bushel
of wheat, five Bushell Buckwheat, five Bushall Indian Corn
to be milled for her - one Cow and ruff foder for the Same
Firewood to be cut and Laid at the door, To have one half
Bushall of Flaxseed Sowed and one Bushall of Potatoes plant
ed yearly if required, and one hundred weight of Baken also
yearly as long as she remains my widow -   And I do give and
bequeath to my wife her choice of two of my Sheep Bed and
bedding, Reel, wheel, one walnut Chist, one Puter dish and
three puter plates during her natural life and at her death at her disposal ---
Item I give and bequeath to and do allow my real Estate at the expiration of
William McLain lease to be sold at the discretion of my Executors and the
proceeds equally divided among my Children -- and also my Bound Child
Mary McCartney unto my son Daniel Traxler to Serve him
under the same as her Indenture will shew -- and lastly
I do nominate constitute and appoint my two sons Peter
and Conrad Traxler and John Blair to be executors of this
my will hereby revoking all other wills legacies and
bequests by me heretofore made and declaring this and no
other to be my Last Will and Testament -- In witnes
whereof I have set my hands and Seals this twenty fourth
day of April in the year of our Lord one Thousand
eight hundred and twelve. ---

        From Southampton Twp., Cumberland Co., PA, Peter Traxler renounced his
executorship of his father's will, on 14 Oct 1818; thus his father, Michael Traxler,
died prior to that date.

        In the next affidavit, James G. Clements affirms his signature (as witness
of Michael's will), thus proving Michael Traxler's will, on 17 Oct 1818.  According
to other documents, the estate was not settled for many years.
