Last Will  and Testament of  William Johnston Feb 1813 In the name of God 
Amen I William Johnston Senr of the county of Huntingdon and state of  
Pennsylvania farmer being very weak in body but of sound mind and 
understanding Blessed be God for the same but considering the uncertainy of 
this transitory life do make and publish this my last will and Testament in 
manner and form following to wit.  In the first place I give unto Mary my 
well beloved wife all my household and kitchen furniture my dwelling house 
kitchen and cellar and garden and laly pasture one third of the orchard the 
stable west of the Garden the one half of the hay when made to be put into 
sd stable loft for her use also one half of the pasture of the meadow and 
field pasture and also the benefit of the S(?)ugar Trees on the upper bottom 
and also my third of the small grain now in the barn and the whole of the 
corn on the loft and also one third of all kinds of Grain that shall be 
raised yearly on my real estate delivered to her in the bushel and also all 
my living stock horses cows sheep and hogs and geese and other Poultry also 
her firewood to be cut and she is to have the priviledge of all the waters 
on the place. In the second place after all my just debts is paid when my 
real estate is sold by my executors with her six years or sooner if they 
think proper I bequeath unto Mary my well beloved wife one third of the 
money of my estate when sold in the third place I give and bequeath to 
Elizabeth my daughter 200 pounds to be paid after the estate is sold. In the 
fourth place I give and bequeath unto Thomas, Robert, William and John my 
sons the remaining parts of the money of sd estate the land conveyed already 
to William John is to be valued at the same rate by the acre that my real 
estate is when sold the reale estate ? At 50 pounds the value of sd land and 
the fifty pounds to be reducted out of Wm and John part of my estate. In the 
fifth place the remaining part of my estate afore sd is to be equally 
divided between my four sons excepting that Thomas is to have 100 pounds 
more than any of the other sons.  In the sixth place my son Thomas is to 
live where he is until the land is sold and farm the upper east end of the 
place and two thirds of the orchard and pasture of one half the meadow and 
fields. In the seventh place Robert is to live where he has lived formerly 
til the place is sold and to foarm the fields adjoining 'Squire Crawford 
field and the one adjoing his house where he now lives the field that was in 
corn and also the piece that he cleared an axed to the cornfield.  In the 
Eighth place my exacutor is to sew my well beloved one bushel of flaxseed on 
the ground where the potatoes and turnips was the season and half a bushel 
yearly till the place is sold- Mary my well beloved wife is to dispose of 
the property that I bequeath to her at her death amongst my children as she 
thinks proper. In the ninth place I allow unto Mary my well beloved wife all 
my body pease to be divided amongst my sons as she thinks proper and lastly 
I nominate constitue and appoint my two sons Thomas and William to be the 
exacutor of this my last will hereby revoking all other wills legasees or 
bequeaths by me heretofore made and declaring this and no other to my last 
will and testaments. In witeness hereof I have signed sealed Published 
Pronounce this as my last will and testament in the presents of us who in 
his presence and at his request have subscribed as witnesses John Metz?
