Gerald W. BAIR, 56, of Greensburg, died April 26, 2004, at Shady Side
Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born Sept. 9, 1947, in Lewistown, the son
of the late Herman and Louise (Roach) Bair. He is survived by his wife,
Darlene (Corcelius) Bair; a son, Randell Bair of Greensburg and Port St.
Lucie, Fla.; and a sister, Mary Meyers, and her husband, Craig, his
mother-in-law, Diane Fleck, all of Huntingdon. He is also survived by
his closest friends and business partners, Rich and Leslie Thies of New
Port Beach, Calif., and seven nieces and nephews. Mr. Bair was a life
member of the Frank P. Hommon American Legion, Standing Stone Post No.
1754 VFW and Elks Lodge, all of Huntingdon. He was also a member of the
Latrobe County Club, PGA County Club and the Touchdown Club of Latrobe.
"Jerry" was a graduate of Huntingdon Area High School, Class of 1965.
Mr. Bair was a veteran of the Vietnam Conflict, having served with the
United States Army. He was a Purple Heart recipient. He was vice
president of Continental Drilling, U.S., and President of Bair
Construction Co. A memorial service will be held April 30, at Unity
Chapel, Unity Twp., Westmoreland County, with the Rev. Donald W. Graff
officiating.
