Estella Belle (Null) ANDERSON, 83, of 4 Warm Springs Acres, Huntingdon,
died at 12:50 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 22, 2004, at J.C. Blair Memorial
Hospital, Huntingdon, following a brief illness. Born Sept. 16, 1920, in
Mount Union, she was the daughter of Leroy Carl and Nellie Elizabeth
(Bowman) Null. She was united in marriage to Kenneth Carlton Anderson
Sept. 3, 1946, at the 15th Street Methodist Church, Huntingdon, by the
Rev. R.A. Zimmerman. Mr. Anderson preceded her in death March 17, 1980.
She is survived by one daughter, Patricia (Anderson) Gray, and her
husband, Richard, of Jermyn; eight grandchildren; and three
great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her dear neighbor,
caregiver and friend, Michele L. Speck. She was preceded in death by
three sons, Carlton B,. Anderson, Kenneth Eugene Anderson and Sidney
Wallace Durbec; four sisters, Devona Null, Viola Null, Charlotte Quarry
and Mary Ward; and two brothers, Philip Null and Harris Null. Mrs.
Anderson was a member of the 15th Street United Methodist Church,
Huntingdon, where she served as a youth Sunday School teacher. She was a
member of the Fiberglas Retirees Association and AARP. She was also a
volunteer at the Standing Stone Senior Citizens Center, Huntingdon. She
attended Mount Union public Schools. She retired from the twist and ply
department at Owens-Corning Fiberglas after 34 years of service.
Previously, she had been employed by Snyder's Cut Rate in Huntingdon.
Mrs. Anderson loved crocheting, plants, flower gardening, cooking and
animals. A combined funeral service for Mrs. Anderson and a memorial
service for her son, Kenneth Eugene Anderson, who died Feb. 9, 2004,
will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 26, at the John B. Brown Funeral
Home, 417 Washington St., Huntingdon, with the Rev. W. Keith Rockwell
officiating. Interment will be made in Huntingdon Memorial Gardens,
Walker Twp., Huntingdon.
