Beverly Jane ARDREY, 66, of 803 Mount Vernon Ave., Smithfield Twp.,
Huntingdon, died at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2004, at Mount Nittany
Medical Center in State College. Born May 4, 1937, in Huntingdon, she
was the daughter of the late Harold and Nellie (Beaver) Isett. She was
united in marriage to James Daniel Ardrey June 18, 1955, at St. James
Lutheran Church in Huntingdon. She is survived by her husband at home;
three sons: James Allen Ardrey, and his wife, Debora, of Alexandria;
Troy Daniel Ardrey, and his wife, Carolyn, of Huntingdon; and Todd J.
Ardrey, and his wife, Susan, of Hesston; Three grandsons: Larry Grubb of
Three Springs, Jared Ardrey of Hesston and Benjamin Ardrey of Hesston
and Benjamin Ardrey of Hesston; one granddaughter, Kelly Ardrey of
Huntingdon; and four great-grandchildren. Mrs. Ardrey was the last
surviving member of her immediate family, having been preceded in death
by a sister, Mrs. Richard (Sara) Marks and a brother, Richard Isett.
Mrs. Ardrey was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, Huntingdon, and
attended Hesston Community Chapel. She was a member of the Standing
Stone Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 1754 Ladies' Auxiliary; the
Women of the Moose, Lodge No. 220; and was active with the American
Cancer Society's Relay for life. she graduated from Huntingdon High
School with the Class of 1955. She retired after many years of service
in 2002 from Ames Dept. Store in Huntingdon, following the stores
closing. A lifetime resident of Huntingdon County, Mrs. Ardrey enjoyed
doing word searches, cooking and spending time with her family and
grandchildren. Private family services will be held at the
Curtright-Speck Funeral Home, 207 Ridge Road, Smithfield Twp.,
Huntingdon, with the Rev. James L. Blair officiating. Interment will be
made in Old Stone Church Cemetery, Penn Twp., Huntingdon County.
