Cannon- In Oxford, on March 9th, Peter F. Cannon, aged 83 years.  Relatives and 
friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral from his late residence, 
105 Locust St. Oxford, on Tuesday, March 13, at 9AM.  Mass at Sacred Heart 
Church at 10 a.m.  Interment in Oxford Cemetery.  Friends may call at his late 
home on Monday evening from 7 to 10 o'clock.

Peter F. Cannon

Peter F. Cannon son of the late Peter F. and Katharine Cannon died early 
yesterday morning at his home on Locust Street, in Oxford. He had been ill for 
several months.  Mr. Cannon was born in 1861 in Lower Oxford.  He was educated 
in the Oxford Schools.  He operated a bakery in Oxford for a number of years and 
was later associated with the Oxford Confectionery Company.  For twenty years he 
was Deputy Sheriff in Chester County but was forced to resign his position 
several months ago because of poor health.  He was a member of Sacred Heart 
Catholic Church.  Mr. Cannon, who was well known in Southern Chester County, had 
a wide circle of friends in West Chester and vicinity. Two sons, Dr. James T. 
Cannon and Alexander Cannon, both of Media, and two daughters, Katharine E. and 
Henrietta M. Cannon at home survive.  His wife Rachel C. Trainer Cannon passed 
away 24 years ago.
