Mrs. J. Fred Burton
Clara, wife of J. Fred Burton, died at her home on East Barnard Street, on 
Friday night. She was born in Laurel, Del., and was a foster daughter of the 
late Rev. Chas. Wesley Boardley.  For many years she was head cook for the late 
Jas. Spence and Thomas W. Taylor.  She is survived by her husband and a son, 
Harry Williams, by a former marriage, and a daughter, Alice E. Burton.  There 
are also two step-children, Mrs. Josephine Grant and Mildred Burton and one 
grand child, Grace Grant.  A sister, Lidie G. Robinson, lives in New York.  
Mrs. Burton was a member of the Lydia Tent, Household of Ruth; Sergeant Kearney 
Camp Auxiliary, No. 103, and of the Bethel A.M.E. Church.

Clara B. Burton
Mrs. Clara B. Burton, 50, died at her home, 402 West Barnard Street, this 
place, early Saturday morning, following a long sickness with an incurable 
disease. She was he wife of Fred Burton, who is a member of the working force 
of the borough.
