Daily Local News, October 11, 1923

Herman P. Brower, a life-long resident of Spring City, who died last Thursday 
at the home of his daughter in Philadelphia, was buried Tuesday from the 
residence of his son, Leon Brower, Spring City, with a large number of 
relatives and friends present.  The casket was draped with the American Flag.  
The flowers were numerous and beautiful.
Rev. Frank M. Ulrich, pastor of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Philadelphia, 
conducted a very impressive funeral service.  Interment in Zion's Cemetery.  
The bearers were grandsons of the deceased, including W. Reade Brower, Ralph P. 
Brower, Herbert E. Brower, Grant Rapp, George Rapp and George Stockett.  

Mr. Brower served in the Civil War, Company F, 97th Regiment, Pennsylvania 
Volunteers.
