DAVID CRANSHAW CORSON
Mount Union, Pa.

Mr. David Cranshaw Corson was born at Sheffield, England, May 12, 1881.  His 
early schooling was attained at Chester, Pa., common schools.  His father, 
John Corson, was married to Nancy Cranshaw, now deceased.  Mr. David Corson 
is a graduate of the Chester High School, and at present he is with the 
Goodman Hardware Company.  For seven years he was General Manager of the 
General Refractories Company.  Identified with the Knights of Pythias, 
Chester, Pa.; Masonic Fraternity, Chester, Chapter, Commandery, and a Shriner 
of Philadelphia, Lulu Temple.  Has three brothers:  H. J. Corson, of Chester, 
Pa., Superintendent of the Stills Oil Works; Arthur H., Yardmaster, 
Philadelphia and Reading R.R., and James Corson, of Philadelphia, Pa.  
Retired.  Mr. Corson married Mary Miller, of Philadelphia, Pa., and the 
following are their children:  John W., at home, with the East Broad Top 
R.R.; Franklin, at home; Nancy, Margaret and Betty, at home.  David C. died 
in 1924; Mildred died in 1926; Anna and Katharine are also deceased.  Mr. 
Corson is a member of the Chamber of Commerce, and also the Juniata Country 
Club.  He and his wife are members of the Presbyterian Church, and Mr. Corson 
is President of the Men's Bible Class.  Tennis, hunting and fishing are the 
sports he delights in.  He is a quiet, unassuming man, courteous and obliging 
and always ready to lend a hand to any worthy enterprise.
