CLAIR S. CORBIN
Mill Creek, Pa.

Terrace Inn:  Born at Cassville, Huntingdon County, Pa., September 22, 1904.  
A son of Ira R. Corbin and Emma (Stever) Corbin.  He is retired and resides 
at Cassville.  He was a lumberman; had saw mill at different places.  Clair 
S. Corbin began his early school training at Cassville, Huntingdon County, 
Pa.; attended Juniata College for two years (Academic Course), and in 
Business Course at the same college.  He was with the Penna. R.R. at Altoona, 
Pa.  Later accepted a position with the Consolidated Coal Company, Somerset 
County, Pa., as Assistant Weightmaster.  On July 1, 1929, he succeeded his 
father as proprietor of Terrace Inn, located one-half mile west of Mill 
Creek, Pa.  He conducts a service station, which consists of lunch, soft 
drinks, barbecue, etc., and the sale of gas, having two pumps; also oils, 
etc.  He belongs to the Lutheran Church of Cassville, Pa.  His wife belongs 
to the Methodist Protestant Church at Cook's Station, Huntingdon County, Pa.  
In politics a Republican.  He has one brother, Gail M., at home, a rural mail 
carrier.  Clair S. Corbin was married to Vernice L. Cook, a daughter of Edgar 
J. and Scytha Cook.  Mr. Corbin since taking over this business has 
endeavored to give good service to the tourists and the public in general.
