CLAIR B. BOYER
Marklesburg, Pa.

Insurance:  Clair B. Boyer was born at Marklesburg, Huntingdon Co., Pa., Jan. 
8, 1890; raised on a farm; began his schooling at Marklesburg, Pa.  A son of 
Henry C. and (Annie Keith Brumbaugh) Boyer; live on farm of 120 acres.  She is 
deceased.  Died December 12, 1929.  Clair B. Boyer attended the Rockhill Normal 
School.  He taught school for thirteen years, all in Huntingdon Co., Pa., 
principally at Marklesburg, Penna., which consisted of eight years.  He has 
filled all borough offices of Marklesburg; has been on school board, burgess, 
and councilman.  He and his wife belong to the Lutheran Church, Marklesburg, 
Pa.,  At present he represents the New York Life Insurance Co.; commenced to 
represent this company in 1917; before was a school teacher.  As insurance 
agent he covers a large territory.  He belongs to the Civic Club and P.O.S. of 
A., Marklesburg, Pa., and upholds the traditions of the Republican party.  He 
has one brother, S. Harold, married to Mildred Speck, of Penn township, a 
graduate of Juniata Colege, class of 1929.  One sister, Grace, married to Henry 
D. Grove, a farmer, of Penn township.  Clair B. Boyer was married to Ada Grace 
Fouse, a daughter of Benjamin and Annie Fouse, formerly a merchant; both are 
deceased.  Mr. and Mrs. Boyer have one son, Homer Clair, ten years of age, 
attending school.  Mr. Boyer is a representative citizen of Marklesburg and 
takes and interest in the community's affairs.
