JOHN MILES BOWSER
Mill Creek, Pa.

Proprietor Juniata Inn:  Was born in Juniata Township, Huntingdon Co., Pa., 
Feb. 26, 1887. Raised on a farm.  Began his early school training at Mill 
Creek, Pa.  Throughout this section of the county the Bowsers are better 
known.  Both parents are deceased.  In the grade schools of Mill Creek, John 
Miles Bowser finished his educational career.  For years he was with the 
Pennsylvania Glass Sand Corporation, of Mapleton, Pa., at various lines of 
work.  He is a member of the Jr. Order of American Mechanics of Mapleton, Pa.  
Belongs to the Methodist Church of Mill Creek, and conducts a service 
station, established years ago, for the accommodation of the general public 
and tourists enroute, catering to all classes.  An excellent trade has been 
established.  Mr. Bowser is a Democrat in politics.  Comes of a family of 
nine children.  Four brothers:  William, at Alexandria, Pa.; A. J., of Mill 
Creek, Pa.; Irvin, of Greensburg, Pa.; Speer, of Mt. Union, Pa.  Also five 
sisters:  Mrs. Frank Kinger, of Mill Creek, Pa.; Mrs. James McKinney, Juniata 
Township, Huntingdon Co., Pa.; Mrs. H. W. Crownover, Floreffe, Pa.; Mrs. Geo. 
Snack, Mill Creek, Pa., and Mrs. W. R. Kissel, Mapleton, Pa.  Mr. John Bowser 
was married to Almeda Fairbanks, Greensburg, Pa.  Hunting and fishing are his 
choice in recreation.
