and Grant produced the necessary book, and here it is recorded that Grant

before her marriage, and she was born October 16, 1826, and died December 6,
1889. She was of Dutch-Irish descent. Grant Bair was born in Shade Gap, a
resident there all his life; for twenty years has conducted a barber shop,
and in connection with it a confectionery store, enjoying a good patronage
from Shade Gap and the surrounding country. Many times has he served on the
election board, been councilman one term; street commissioner four terms, a
school director for twenty-two years, and in 1927 was elected a Director of

the interests of the taxpayers and thus win for himself a successful
administration.
