     Meredith Parsons  was born December 1826 in North Carolina, and died 
February 04,1904 in Clay Co., Al..  He married Sarah "Sally" Lakey 1844, 
daughter of Mark Lakey and Charlotte Williamson of Wilkes/Surry Co, NC.

hospitalized with Lumbago at St Mary's Hospital; West Pt, MISS; again in 
April 1, 1864 hospitaized ; Ft. Gaines, AL May 17, 1864; hospital Shelby 
Springs, AL May 19, 1865 paroled-Talledega

PARSONS, Mary J.--Funeral for Mrs. Parsons, 86, who died Sunday at her home,
406 Boylston,was hold at Pine Level Church near Deatsville this afternoon.  
The Rev. J. R. Wilkerson officiated.  Interment was in the churchyard 
cemetery, White Chapel in charge.  Pallbearers were Carlie L. Tatum, Winfred 
Monfee, James Cook, William Cook, Elmore Prickett, Joe Prickett,Howard 
Mosley and Leo Latiker.

TATUM, Mrs. Sarah Ella, 102, a resident of 37 Houser Street, Montgomery, AL 
and a resident of Montgomery for 50  years, died Friday, February 1, 1985, 
in a local hospital following a brief illness.  Funeral services will be 
held from White Chapel Funeral Home Sunday, February 3, 1985, at 2 p. with 
Rev. Lenney Bolton and Capt. George Price officiating.  Burial will follow 
in Pine Level Cemetery in Autauga County, White Chapel Funeral Home 
directing.  Survivors include four daughters, Mary F. Monfee, and Hollie R. 
Thackston, Montgomery, AL  Cora Lee Connell, Tarrant City, AL  Zelma Martin,
Smyrna, GA; two sons, Carlie N. Tatum, Montgomery, AL James L. Tatum, Cape 
Coral, FL; one daughter-in-law, Frances Tatum, Montgomery, AL; one sister-
in-law, Minnie Parsons, Prattville, AL; 22 grandchildren, 42 great

EXTREME COLD RESULTS IN DEATH OF AGED MAN
J. Lewis Tatum, 70 was found "practically frozen to death" Sunday morning 
just off U.S. Highway 31 about five miles north of Prattville, Autauga, 
County, Sheriff Allen Stewart said today.
He died about an hour after he was taken to the Prattville Hospital, 
according to Stewart's report.
Stewart said that M. R. Evans, Advertiser-Journal motor carrier, discovered
the body lying by the roadside as he was delivering papers. Tatum lived near
the Pine Level community of Autauga County, according to the sheriff.

1915 in Autauga Co., AL.  She married Lee A. Tatum 1905.

"DEPLORABLE TRAGEDY ENACTED IN NORTH AUTAUGA:
...On last Thursday morning news was received here of the most deplorable 
tragedy that has ever occurred in Autauga County...death of Mrs. Ethel 
Tatum, Cleveland Tatum, Odis Tatum, Huey Tatum, and Ocie LeeTatum.. came to 
their deaths by drowning ..in a well...On last Friday morning five coffins 
containing the remains of Mrs. Tatum and her four little boys, were borne to
their graves in Liberty Church cemetery. The entire neighborhood was in 
attendance, and the sorrowing husband and father has the sympathy of the 
entire community.  Five funerals all in one, is a record never equaled in 
Autauga County."

Alabama; died December 19, 1963 in Montgomery, Montgomery, AL.  He married 
Minnie Smith February 16, 1913.
     31   v.   Henry Grady Parsons, born October 18, 1890 in Alabama; died 
January 26, 1970 in Washington, D.C..  He never married, was a World War I 
vet and resided in Old Soldiers Home until his death.
     32   vi.  Mary Lonnie Parsons, born April 1893 in Alabama; died 
September 1984 in Mobile, AL.  She married Chester Moseley.
     33   vii. Jessie E. Parsons, born April 03, 1895 in Alabama; died June
